Done-for-you publishing · Replit

Publish your Replit app to the App Store & Google Play — for you.

Replit's mobile flow (built on Expo) gets you a build — but a build is not a published app. You still need an Apple Developer account, a complete App Store Connect listing, store screenshots, Google Play's closed-testing gauntlet, and someone to deal with reviewers. We take it from 'it runs on my phone' to 'it's live in both stores.'

Can Replit publish to the stores by itself?

Partially. Replit can produce a mobile build via Expo, but publishing still requires your own developer accounts, complete store listings, screenshots, compliance forms, and passing review on both stores — all outside Replit.

Where Replit founders get stuck

The build is the easy 20%

Replit's Expo integration outputs a binary. The listing, review, and compliance work that actually gets apps rejected is still on you.

App Store Connect maze

Certificates, bundle IDs, export compliance, privacy nutrition labels, age ratings — each one a chance to stall your launch.

Screenshots for every device

Apple wants correctly sized screenshots for multiple iPhone and iPad classes. 'Almost right' sizes are auto-rejected.

Google Play's 12-tester rule

Personal Play accounts must complete a 14-day closed test with 12 testers before going to production.

The DIY route (if you want it)

No gatekeeping — this is genuinely what it takes to publish a Replit app yourself.

  1. 01

    Finish your Expo build

Use Replit's launch flow or EAS to produce signed iOS and Android binaries.

  2. 02

    Enroll in both programs

Apple Developer Program ($99/yr) and Google Play Console ($25) — identity verification included.

  3. 03

    Build both listings

Metadata, keywords, screenshots, privacy forms, content ratings, and data-safety declarations.

  4. 04

    Submit, wait, respond

Push through TestFlight/closed testing, submit for review, then fix whatever the reviewers flag.

Replit publishing FAQs

Doesn't Replit publish to the stores for me?

Replit's launch flow produces the build and can submit it, but you still own the developer accounts, the listing content, screenshots, compliance forms, and any rejection handling. That last mile is what we do.

Do I need to share my Replit code?

Usually not the code — an exported build or Expo project link is enough. Where source access helps (fixing a rejection), we work under NDA in your repl.

How fast can my Replit app go live?

Most apps are submitted within 48 hours of handoff. Apple review typically adds 1–3 days; Google Play closed testing adds 14 days for new personal accounts.
